AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik answered questions on topics ranging from the disarmament process to the steps to be taken for a Terrorist-Free Turkey, from President Erdoğan's historic speech to the decisions to be made at the Kızılcahamam Camp, on the Özel İzlen (Special Interview) program hosted by Cansu Canan Özgen on tv100.

"This is now a state policy, within the framework of the instructions given by our President directly to state institutions regarding the execution of this process."

"Türkiye HAS A MODEL CALLED ITS OWN NAME IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM"

Our assessments so far are that, following the call from İmralı, the terrorist organization responded and this disarmament process began within a short period of time. First of all, Türkiye's fight against terrorism has a long history. Türkiye even has its own model for fighting terrorism, named after it.

This is being discussed extensively in various parts of the world. Turkey has always faced double standards on this issue in Western countries. For example, when Turkey was attacked by the ISIS terrorist organization, the Turkish flag was displayed on large buildings in Germany, France, and some Western countries in solidarity. When Turkey was attacked by the PKK terrorist organization, the same solidarity was not shown. Turkey has faced such a double standard.

HOW WILL THE DISARMING PROCESS WORK?

In the state's fight against terrorism, in addition to the fight against what we call hard power elements—the Turkish Armed Forces, gendarmerie, police, and village guards—a number of legal regulations have also been implemented to encourage the dismantling of terrorist organizations. This was achieved through recommendations made by the National Security Council before our administration. Türkiye has a multifaceted experience in this regard, both utilizing hard power elements and synchronizing them.

Each of these are timelines and steps that need to be updated. Ultimately, we're not in a sterile environment, deciding everything ourselves. Ultimately, this will happen tomorrow in an area outside our own territory, around Sulaymaniyah. It's an area outside Turkish territory. Those summoned there will be registered. But the key is our verification mechanism, comprised of elements of the Turkish Armed Forces and the National Intelligence Organization. Secondly, the next steps must also be carried out seamlessly to complete the process.

WHEN WILL THE COMMISSION IN THE TURKISH GRAND NATIONAL ASSEMBLY BE ESTABLISHED?

I've read some very restrictive and expansive statements regarding this commission, but ultimately, the commission will carry out the process of dismantling the terrorism cover-up and disarmament. I believe it will be established soon, at the discretion of our Speaker of Parliament, as he has already held a meeting with the groups. We hope all political parties will contribute. Protesting the commission is not politically correct.

"NO COUNTRY CAN FIGHT THIS WAY AS Türkiye"

No country that shares a border with Iraq and Syria and faces such a complex structure beyond its border can fight the struggle that Türkiye has.

WHAT WILL ERDOĞAN ANNOUNCE ON SATURDAY?

A comprehensive camp has been prepared. Nearly all topics will be addressed. If the disarmament process takes place tomorrow, our President will deliver his first speech on Saturday morning, addressing the current situation and the future. It will be a comprehensive and in-depth speech.

He has been maintaining intense contact with foreign policy for quite some time. There are developments on those issues. He will address the progress made on all of these issues, from the Ukraine-Russia issue to the Gaza issue, in that speech. If all these steps regarding a terror-free Türkiye are taken, he will make his first assessment on Saturday morning, as our expectations for tomorrow come true.
